Beth Rushing
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
Beth Rushing has been the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Washington Tacoma since July 2007. Prior to her appointment at the University of Washington Tacoma, she served as Dean of the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Georgia College & State University, taught at Wake Forest University, Kent State University, and the University of Tennessee at Martin. At the University of Washington Tacoma, she is the chief academic officer for seven academic programs and several academic support units. She has a B.A. in Sociology from Carson-Newman College, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Sociology from Duke University. Her scholarly interests focus on work/life issues in contemporary families.
