Distinguished Teaching Award

How to nominate

Nominations for the UW Tacoma Distinguished Teaching Award should be addressed to the UW Tacoma Distinguished Teaching Award Committee and emailed to academic@u.washington.edu no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2008.

After the nomination deadline, the nominations will be forwarded to the committee for the decision on who is eligible. Eligibility will be based upon whether the nomination sufficiently addresses the criteria for the award and if the nominee meets the eligibility requirements stated in the Process and Eligibility.

The campus will be notified via e-mail regarding the nominees. The Committee will submit a written recommendation to the Chancellor and notification regarding the recipient will be sent via e-mail to the campus.

Nomination Requirements

  1. Nominations will be accepted from students, faculty and alumni. Self nominations are also acceptable.
  2. Nominators may nominate only one faculty member each year.
  3. Nominations may not exceed two typed pages and should address the stated criteria for the award.
  4. The committee will review all nominations prior to any announcements and determine who is eligible for the award.
