Collaborative Classroom - CP105

The Collaborative Classroom in CP105 came on-line in Winter Quarter 2006. It was funded through a UW Tacoma Founders Endowment Grant.

How is this classroom different?

CP105 is a flexible learning space that integrates pedagogy, physical
design and instructional technology to enhance instructional effectiveness
and student learning. The room accommodates up to 54 students and is
equipped with movable tables that accommodate 6-7 students. To allow for
computing and networking use without a fixed arrangement, PCs and
monitors were mounted along the perimeter and a wireless local network
was installed. The room is equipped with movable screens (with whiteboard
space) for privacy and to function as a  workspace. To facilitate
presentations, other equipment includes an instructor PC, two video
projectors, a wireless mouse, and AristoClass software.
