This is an excellent workshop for new staff. Getting Started With BlackboardCreate a complete web course which can be customized for your class. This workshop focuses on instructional design and learning how to add content to your course. Blackboard's Advanced FeaturesLearn how to use the Bb collaboration tools. This workshop includes best practices and tips using the Discussion Boards, Group Manager, Virtual Classroom and incorporating Catalyst Tools. Catalyst Web ToolsLearn about the many catalyst web tools. All of these tools can be added as links to a web site. A workshop could focus on just one tool. Create a web site with DreamWeaverLearn how to use DreamWeaver, a what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG) editor to create or edit a web site that will enhance your course. Photo scanning and editingLearn to use a scanner to create digital files from pictures which can be added to a web site. Getting Started with ExcelLook at examples of the many ways Excel can make your job easier. This workshop starts with the basics. We build a budget spreadsheet using all of the common formulas and functions. Excel´s Advanced FeaturesThis workshop is designed for those that are familiar with Excel and want to gather 30 tips and tricks. Using PowerPointLearn how to use PowerPoint to create presentations for on-screen projection, printing, and the web. Many tips on using it in the classroom are provided. Word Tips and TricksWork with multiple page views, tabs, tables, format painter, search & replace, and headers and footers. These are just a few of the tips you will learn in this workshop. What you can do with a Palm Pilot.Learn how to write graffiti, beam contacts and applications. Use your palm to read Word, database, or pdf files. What you can do with a Pocket PCLearn what you and your students can do with Pocket PCs in the Classroom. This includes a basic intro, tips and tricks, and using teaching software. PC PineLearn how to use this e-mail program, PC_Pine to send attachments, do distribution lists, create folders, forward adtress books, and manage your e-mail. Web PineLearn how to use the internet e-mail program, Web Pine to send attachments, do distribution lists, create folders, set up preferences, and manage your e-mail.
