Cynthia Riley Smith joined the Milgard School of Business in August 2007. Prior to her arrival at UW Tacoma, she held positions in advising, marketing, and community outreach at two other universities and taught middle school math. Cynthia earned a Master of Arts in Education with teaching certification (2003) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations (2001), both from Pacific Lutheran University. One of the most exciting events of her college career was the semester she spent studying at the National University of Ireland, Cork in Southern Ireland. She is a member of the National Academic Advising Association(NACADA).
