The Writing Skills Assessment (WSA) is required of all applicants to the Milgard School of Business. The WSA consists of two essays - the Persuasion Task and Position Task - and each are scored on a six-point scale. The scores are averaged to create an assessment score.
You will be notified of your test results with your admission decision letter.

- Pay online with a Visa/MasterCard via PayPal on the registration confirmation page (preferred method and it must be chosen at time of registration)
- Pay in advance with cash, check, debit card or credit card at the UW Tacoma cashier in MAT 354N (retain your receipt and bring on the test day)
- Bring a check or money order only on the day of the exam
Please note: CASH or Credit/Debit cards are not accepted at the exam, and the cashier is not open on Saturday.
If there is no record of payment, your exam will not be scored.
