Non-Matriculated Accounting Program

The Milgard School of Business non-matriculated program in accounting is designed for students who have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and wish to complete the necessary accounting course work to sit for the CPA exam.

If you have specfic questions regarding exam requirements, please contact the Washington State Board of Accountancy.

Admission is granted Autumn quarter only. Non-matriculated students do not qualify for financial aid. The deadline for all application materials is July 30th.

Complete a University of Washington Tacoma application and indicate Business Non-matriculated Accounting Program.

Accounting Curriculum Offered

Note: TACCT 301, 302, and 303 series must be taken in order and prior to taking any 400-level courses.

Accounting courses are offered in sequence beginning in Autumn quarter. The accounting series will take an average of five quarters to complete. Students may also have the opportunity to take other business and non-business courses, as needed to sit for the CPA. For specific information regarding exam requirements, please contact the Washington State Board of Accountancy external Web site.
