UW Tacoma proudly welcomes students, faculty, staff and community to our new William W. Philip Hall to study, learn, socialize and celebrate!

A gathering place for students...

Philip Hall features the Jane Thompson Russell Student Commons and the 2nd floor Student Mezzanine both of which offer students a place to study and hang out that is comfortable and centrally located. Student Commons and Mezzanine hours are:

Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Closed Saturday and Sunday

A gathering place for the campus...

The hall also offers a flexible event space that can accommodate lectures, meetings, performances, dinners or fairs. The James A. Milgard Family Assembly Room provides comfortable meeting space for large groups and can be expanded to include the Jane Thompson Russell Student Commons for select events. The Columbia Bank Lobby offers a stunning view of Pacific Avenue, Union Station, the Washington State History Museum and Mount Rainier. The Judith Graubard Kopp Gallery provides areas for tables, displays or socializing.

A gathering place for the community...

If you're planning an event, the University of Washington Tacoma offers an excellent location for small to medium-sized gatherings. Our urban campus and its user friendly facilities are located just 30 minutes from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and right off Interstate 5 in the heart of a vibrant metropolitan city close to museums, theaters, hotels and dining.
