Lab Policies

Only students with a valid UW ID card and current quarter validation sticker will be admitted to the lab. If you do not have your card, you must go to Student Affairs and have them call the lab to verify that you are a student.

No guests are allowed. This includes spouses, children, friends and family members.

No food or drink is permitted in the lab.

Please respect the rights of other users in the labs. No loud talking, music, noise, or cellular phones.

No loading of additional software in the lab.

Games are not part of our charter. Please, no game playing, mudding or IRC.

If the lab is full, please limit your time to no more than two hours so that others can use the computers.

The lab staff will assure that machines function properly and assist with basic questions. They are not prepared to help with class assignments. For more detailed help with computer software, CBT (computer-based training) tutorials are available on multiple lab machines (see lab staff).
