Workshops

Workshops in note-taking, reading, time management and test taking are offered each quarter by TLC staff, the lead counselor, and the disabilities support counselor. Study skills workshops are free to students and require no advance registration. The schedule and locations are available by clicking on Learning Strategies or by viewing the current registration guide.

Basic Algebra Review

This workshop is not currently being offered.

Third Thursday

Third Thursday workshops are free to students and address a variety of general interest, academic topics. Workshops are free to students.

Using your APA Manual

These sessions provide instruction and practice in the pragmatics of accessing and navigating through the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition.

Learning Strategies Workshops

How do you meet the conflicting needs in your roles as student, employee, spouse, child and/or parent guardian, while still doing well in school?
How can you decide what is crucial information in a 20-page reading assignment?
How can you get all of the material covered in a lecture in your notes?
How can you set yourself up for success on an exam?
