Biography
Alissa R. Ackerman joined the Social Work Program faculty in 2011. For the last five
years, she has been teaching criminal justice courses at the university level. Her
research interests focus on sex crimes and sex offenders. Alissa's current research
involves a national level study of state and federal sex offender registries to assess
whether current management practices are effective in reducing crime among the
registered sex offender population.
