Biography

M.Ed., College Student Personnel Administration, Western Washington State University; B.A. with honors, Drake University; member of Phi Beta Kappa. Professional training includes institutional effectiveness, articulation between two and four year colleges, technology, leadership and grantsmanship. Higher education experience includes grants coordinator, Tacoma Community College; program director, Northwest International Education Association, Highline Community College; community outreach coordinator, Pacific Lutheran University Division of Social Sciences; director of program development, School for Summer and Continuing Education, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.; director of career planning, Pomona College, Claremont, CA. Other work experience includes planning and coordinating children's language programs with the American Cultural Exchange, conducting assessments and developing accommodations for adults with learning disabilities, and teaching English as a foreign language with the U.S. Peace Corps, Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa. Currently state board member and representative for international affairs/International Federation of University Women for the American Association of University Women of Washington.
