About the summit

The Diversity Resource Center invites you to join us for a day filled with opportunities to explore the dimensions of diversity and the two important social justice movements facing our nation; immigration and LGBT rights.

Keynote speaker

Jose Antonio Vargas:
My Life as an Undocumented Immigrant

Jose Antonio VargasJose Antonio Vargas is a U.S. Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, documentary producer, Huffington Post blogger — and undocumented immigrant, who hid his 'true identity' until 2011 when he exposed his story in his groundbreaking essay, "My Life as an Undocumented Immigrant," for the New York Times Magazine. His revelation stunned media and political circles, attracted world-wide attention, and showed in detail the subterfuge needed to maintain his career and life. Stepping from the shadows of his immigration status, Vargas launched a national conversation about immigration, citizenship, and social justice.
