Celebrate Black History Month with a week-long showing of the award winning PBS documentary series Eyes on the Prize. The film series documents the African American Civil Rights struggle from 1954 to 1985.

This film chronicles the building of the Alaskan Canadian Highway. It documents how 5,000 African American soldiers were sent into the frozen Alaskan tundra to construct a 1,500 mile military road. The film also reveals how the ALCAN project displaced Native peoples from their homes and forced African American soldiers to work in dangerous winter conditions without adequate shelter or supplies.
