Returning former students

A UW Tacoma undergraduate student who has not been enrolled for more than one quarter (not including summer) is required to complete and file a Returning Student Application and pay the $60 application fee. Applications must be completed by the application deadline.

Because academic programs determine admission based upon prior academic record and space availability, admission is not guaranteed to returning students. Returning nonmatriculated students are re-admitted as space permits. Contact the specific academic program office to discuss the re-admission process.

To apply as a returning student:

1. Create an account

Creating an account allows you to begin the UW Tacoma online application and to apply to other colleges that subscribe to CollegeNET services. You will only provide name and contact information and this information will not be shared with colleges until after you have applied. Even after you create an account, there is no obligation to finish an application if you ultimately decide not to apply. You do not pay the application fee until you are ready to submit your application.

Note: If you have already established an account with CollegeNET, you can skip this step.

2. Complete the Returning Student Application

As soon as you have created an account, you can begin filling out the application. The application does not have to be completed in one session; you can log in and work on your application whenever you want. Once you've finished the application, you can submit it—as soon as you pay the $60 nonrefundable application fee. The application fee must be paid over a secure connection using a credit card or electronic check.
