Applying as a transfer student

Welcome to the University of Washington Tacoma's online application for transfer students. This process requires three steps.

1. Create an account

Creating an account allows you to begin the UW Tacoma online application and to apply to other colleges that subscribe to CollegeNET services. You will only provide name and contact information and this information will not be shared with colleges until after you have applied. Even after you create an account, there is no obligation to finish an application if you ultimately decide not to apply. You do not pay the application fee until you are ready to submit your application.

Note: If you have already established an account with CollegeNET by applying to another college, you can skip this step.

2. Complete your application

As soon as you have created an account, you can begin filling out the application. The application does not have to be completed in one session; you can log in and work on your application whenever you want. The application will save your changes as you go. Once you've finished the application, you can submit it—as soon as you pay the $50 nonrefundable application fee. The application fee must be paid over a secure connection using a credit card or electronic check. Choose the application you wish to complete:

3. Submit any supplemental materials required

If you are applying directly to a degree program, you may need to submit supplemental forms directly to the program. After you have completed your online application, review any supplemental materials required by the program you have applied to:
