'Parapet Relay' (1997)
Artist: Buster Simpson
Location: Roofline of GWP Building
Two message boards at the top of the Garretson Woodruff Pratt Building display different words when viewed from different angles. The south sign reads "Gather," "Labor," "Idea" and "Wisdom." The east sign reads "Storage," "UW" and "Tacoma." Plaques embedded in the sidewalk expand on the work.
'Free Speech Zone Pallet' (1997)

Location: GWP interior stairs to Pacific Avenue
Galvanized steel warehouse skid presented by the artist to the Associated Students of UWT as an independent platform for expression. Donated to the University by the Class of 2001.
'African Music' (1983)

Location: GWP atrium
This bold oil on canvas painting was donated to the University by Bill and Bobby Street.

Glass sculpture donated by Lee Gillenwater in honor of his father, Kelso Gillenwater, for whom the library plaza is named.

Aluminum, steel, wood and electronic piece was a project of UW and the Washington State Arts Commission's Art in Public Places Program. A control panel on the second floor landing activates this sound sculpture.

Four installations symbolizing earth, wind, fire and water. Funded by the Washington State Arts Commission's Art in Public Places.
'Chinook Red Chandelier' (1999)
Artist: Dale Chihuly
Location: Library tower, 2nd floor
Internationally-renowned artist Dale Chihuly created this magnificent chandelier that hangs in the library tower. Seven feet wide and 19 feet long, the fiery Chinook Red is composed of over 900 pieces of glass and weighs 1,500 pounds.

Seven artworks created by signpainting collectives in Kerala, India, based on concepts and schematic designs by artist Don Fels. Funded by the Washington State Arts Commission's Art in Public Places.

Technology becomes organic in what look like vintage natural history drawings of computer cords and peripherals. Funded by the Washington State Arts Commission's Art in Public Places program.
