Diamond Parking Permits

For Permanent Employees

Permanent UWT employees can elect to purchase a quarterly Diamond Parking Permit through pre-tax payroll deductions over two pay periods each quarter. This will reduce your taxable income, so you pay less tax, thereby saving you money on your parking costs. Since the parking deduction is tax-exempt, you will not pay taxes on the income now or in the future.

Approximately 30 days prior to the beginning of each academic quarter, you must complete a parking permit order form for the ensuing quarter and return it to the Payroll Coordinator. Complete all information required on the form and sign to authorize the deduction from your pay account. An email reminder notice will be sent via uwtline when parking permit order forms are due. Finance will obtain the parking permits from Diamond Parking and distribute the permits to applicants just prior to the start of each academic quarter. The payroll deductions (two each quarter) will be made from the first and second full pay periods after the beginning of the quarter.

There will be no refunds for any unused portion of a quarterly permit should the employee leave the UWT prior to the end of the quarter. New hires during an academic quarter will not be permitted to utilize the payroll deduction option until the beginning of the next quarter.

For a permanent employee hired mid-quarter, please contact Diamond Parking directly at 253-383-5825 to request a pro-rated quarterly permit. Payment for this pro-rated permit would be made directly to Diamond Parking.

For Students and Temporary Employees

Parking options for students are available from the UWT Cashier's Office. Temporary employees should use these options as well.
