Lecture Engagement
Attendance at a minimum of two lectures required over the course of each year in the Global Honors Program (for a minimum total of 4 lectures). Lectures must have a global context. Specifically, the lecture must be about a country other than the United States. If the lecture focuses on an issue of global importance, it should include non-US case studies.
Submission of a minimum 500-600 word blog responding to the following questions:
- How does this lecture help you understand one or more aspects of the interconnected process of globalization?
- How does this lecture bear on your own work, or what you intend to do?
- What question/s remain unexplored in the lecture?
Our understanding of globalization is that it is an interconnected process, with varying implications for subjects, dependent on their structural positions in an interdependent world.
