2009 Graduate & Professional Study Information for participating schools Representatives from graduate and professional schools around Washington State and the Pacific Northwest are welcome to attend. The fair will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the William W. Philip Hall on the UW Tacoma campus. Schools interested in participating must register in advance and pay a $50 fee. The event is free to the general public. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) How do I register? Registrations will be accepted until the event space is full. However, to guarantee inclusion on all promotional materials, please register by October 16th. Space is limited, so early registration is advised. If you have questions about registration, please contact Linda Spence-Noyer at lsnoyer@u.washington.edu or 253-692-4409. What is included in the fee? The $50 fee includes one six-foot table, two chairs, morning social and a box lunch for one person. Additional tables and lunches may be reserved for an additional fee. Note—Parking is at a premium in downtown Tacoma. UW Tacoma will provide drop-off service at William W. Philip Hall, but attendees will need to locate parking at one of the many parking lots close to campus. When can I set up? The hall will open at 9:30 a.m. for set up. There will be a loading zone on Commerce Street off 21st Street about 100 feet from the entrance to Philip Hall. Doors open to the public promptly at 11:00 a.m. How do I get to UW Tacoma? UW Tacoma is located in downtown Tacoma, just off I-5. For detailed directions and interactive maps, go here. Where is William W. Philip Hall? Opened in September 2008, Philip Hall is UW Tacoma's newest building. It is located near the center of campus directly across from the library. The Fair will be held in the main assembly hall space on the Commerce Street level. Where do I park? There are many pay parking lots close to campus. You can also park for free at Tacoma Dome Transit Station Garage and then enjoy a free ride to campus on the Link, Tacoma's light rail system. More information.
