Upcoming Professional Development Opportunities at UWT
- Good Internal Practices and Fraud Prevention Tips
- This important training is being offered at UW Tacoma, sponsored by the Finance Department and Human Resources. We as a campus are now on a regular review schedule with the auditors and they look very closely at internal controls. As such this is an issue we want to get out in front of to insure our compliance.
- Travel Procedures
- The training involves several components based on your level of experience, and will include training for the new e-Travel process.
- Violence Prevention and Response
- Preventing violence on campus is a responsibility we all share. UWT volunteer trainers are bringing this training to individual departments and student groups.

New Policies and Procedures:
- Request for Authorization for Recruitment and Hire Policy
- Due to ongoing budget concerns, we are developing an authorization request process for the recruitment of all types of staff positions. The new policy and form have been developed to include the comprehensive recruitment process.
- Request for Salary Offer Approval Form
- This procedure and form is required form permanent professional and classified positions only and documents the recruitment process for each of these searches.
