Project Earth to Hold Elections for 2008/2009 Officers!
Hey UWT Environmental Science folk!
We need a few good folks willing to head the student group Project Earth!
Past accomplishments of Project Earth include:
-
Helping with 2008 Sustainability
Summit
-
Snow shoe trips at Rainier
-
Indoor rock climbing trips
-
Many hours working on restoration projects
-
Getting new
recycling bins on campus
-
Regular social hours!
Here are the top 5 reasons why you should consider being an officer:
5. Because several of the past accomplishments sound like fun and you'd like to help make them happen again!
4. A less exciting reason, but something to think about for the future.....it looks good on your resume.
3. You can gather a whole group working towards a common passion (campus sustainability, environmental restoration, etc.)
2. If you think the Environmental Science folks are not social enough, you could help change that.
1. It's a way to make a difference and can be fun!!

Campus Sustainability
The 2008 South Sound Sustainability Summit and Exposition was held February 9th and 10th. With over 50 exhibitors and 500 attendees, this event demonstrates that discussions on sustainability are here to stay!
Thank you to our college campus partners and volunteers for all their efforts that made this event such a huge success. Also, special thanks to conference coordinator and UWT Professor, Jim Gawel!
