Portfolio

Overview

Students in Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at UWT are expected to develop and demonstrate their abilities in writing, critical thinking, oral communication, and collaborative learning through the campus's emphases on reading and writing across the curriculum. In order to help students accomplish these goals, each student will be required to compile a confidential portfolio of student work completed during the course of the student's residence at UWT. The portfolio is a graduation requirement. The portfolio may become a permanent part of the student's record at UWT, and may be used by the student in other ways the student sees fit.

Submitting the Portfolio

Students are required to turn in their completed portfolio for review no later than the second week of their last quarter of enrollment. Please note the following guidelines for the submission of the portfolio:

  • The portfolio should not be submitted more than one quarter prior to graduation.
  • It is recommended that students keep a copy of their portfolio for their records.
  • Students should reclaim all original materials after the review has been completed.

Portfolio Requirements

The requirements for the portfolio have changed. All students admitted to IAS in 2006 and beyond should use the first link below. Contact your adviser with any specific questions.

For students who were admitted to IAS prior to 2006, please contact your adviser for instructions. You may need to use older requirements.
