Through a collaborative effort, students, faculty, and staff, are excited to present UW Tacoma's fifth annual International Education Week from November 13 - 17, 2017. This year's International Education Week represents a diverse and engaging series of internationally and culturally focused opportunities for everyone. Indigenizing Education: Symposium on Native American Education

Join us for the UW Tacoma Symposium on Native American Indigenous Education. This year's theme is "Indigenizing Education": and features keynote talks from Megan Bang (Ojibwe) and Nicole Marie Sutton (Puyallup) along with an indigenous student panel and a resource fair. Info Session: Fellowships for International Students

Marketing Your Study Abroad Experience

If you’ve studied abroad or had an international experience you have skills employers are looking for! Join the Office of Global Affairs and Career Development and Education as we help you unpack your time abroad and learn how to market your experiences. Study Abroad Photo Exhibition

Study abroad participants will show off their study abroad photos to students, faculty, and staff in the BB. Students will share photos and answer questions about their study abroad experience. Global Impact Presentation

This summer, ten students from UW Tacoma went to Laos, Morocco, Thailand or Ghana through UWT's affiliate program, Global Impact. This service learning experience allowed them to explore a new culture and build relationships with people in their host country while volunteering in health clinics and performing infrastructure projects. You are warmly invited to join the TBIOMD490 class as the students reflect on their experiences.

Teaching English Abroad

Global Lightning Talks

This program will follow the example of Research Lightning Talks that Office of Research has been putting together for the last two years to showcase research at UW Tacoma. Global Lightning Talks will follow a similar format but focus on global interactions, connections, and relationships. The event will be followed by a social where faculty, staff, and students with an interest on global issues, perspectives, and experiences will meet and network.

Considering graduate school abroad? Join us to learn about fellowships for graduate school in the UK, South Korea, Spain, Germany, China and elsewhere. We'll talk about fellowships like the Gates Cambridge Scholarship, the German Academic Exchange Service Graduate Study Scholarship, the Yenching Academy, and the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
