Research Support

We provide computer and media technologies to support all the research activities at UWT. Not only do we help researchers to set up software and hardware required for activities such as statistical analysis, we also have professional media production facilities to create multimedia products related to the research activities. Further, researchers can either design their conference presentation materials using the photo copy stands and equipment in the multimedia lab, or contract Academic Technologies for the production of professional level works for their projects.

We have provided IT support for various grant projects, and had produced award-winning video programs. We have participated in grant-writing by assisting faculty members to outline the overall technologies requirement and detail hardware and software necessary for individual research projects.

We frequently engaged in research and development activities assisting researchers to identify the most appropriate hardware and software solutions for the research activities. In the Innovative Technology Lab, for example, several laptops and tablet PC are on display for researchers who have to use portable equipment to work away from the campus.
