- Apollo Image Atlas - A collection of Apollo-Saturn mission photography, Containing almost 25,000 lunar images, both from orbit and from the moon's surface, as well as photographs of the earth, astronauts and mission hardware.
- CalPhotos: Plants - Contains 58,177 images of plants, primarily Californian, contributed by various organization and individuals.
- Curtis Botanical Magazine - Images and text from Curtis Botanical Magazine, founded by pharmacist William Curtis, in circulation from 1787 to 1807.
- Forestry Images: the Source for Forest Health and Silviculture Images - Over 30,000 images of 5500 subjects related to forest health, natural resources and silviculture. A joint project of the University of Georgia and the USDA Forest Service.
- Freshwater and Marine Image Bank - An ongoing digital collection of more than 14,000 images related to freshwater and marine topics, taken from a variety of publications issued between 1735 and 1924.
- Japanese Ant Image Database - Contains images and information regarding the 273 known species of Japanese ants.
- Mount St. Helens Post-Eruption Chemistry Database - A collection of images documenting the effects of the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption on the surrounding environment over the course of three years following the event. Images collected by Professor of Chemistry William Zoller at the University of Washington.
- Mount St. Helens Succession Collection - Contains 235 photographs taken by Dr. Roger del Moral documenting the changes over the past 20 years to the region surrounding Mount St. Helens
- NOAA Central Library Photo Collection - Contains over 16,000 images documenting various environmental conditions as studied by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
- NYPL Digital Gallery: Nature and Science - A sub-collection of images from the New York Public Libraries digital collection that focuses on the topics of anatomy, animals, astronomy, botany, the environment, fish, flowers, geology, history of science.
- Plants of Hawaii - A collection of images, maps, and reports of the plants of Hawaii, as provided by the Hawaiian Ecosystems at Risk Project (HEAR) in conjunction with the USGS.
