Foundation Center Collection
The Foundation Center is an independent nonprofit information clearinghouse established in 1956. The Center's mission is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving programs, and related topics. It is the nation’s leading authority on philanthropy and strives to easily connect non-profits with grantmakers.
The UW Tacoma Library is a Cooperating Collection and provides free training for the Foundation Directory Online and the Foundation Grants to Individuals databases. Also available are a variety of supplementary materials and services useful to grantseekers as well as the core collection of the Foundation Center’s publications.

The FDO offers detailed profiles on over 92,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and public charities, updated weekly. In addition, searchable databases with over 1.3 million recently awarded grants and over 441,000 recently filed IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF are available. |
Foundation Grants to Individuals Online

Updated quarterly, this database provides access to over 6,200 foundations that give a minimum of $2,000 to individuals annually. Training opportunities, resource lists, and additional links to information are also included. |
