Accessing UW Restricted Databases Remotely
In order to access UW Restricted sources remotely (anywhere off campus) you will need to use the Off-Campus Access links located in the top right corner of most UW Libraries webpages. To use this proxy link you will simply need to login using your NetID and Password. You can then use any of the restricted library resources.
An additional option for remote access is the UW Internet Connectivity Kit (UWICK).
Articles not available in full-text online or in the Tacoma Periodicals or Tacoma Microform areas may be ordered through the Interlibrary Loan. Select the link that says "Current UW and Cascadia Students, Faculty, & Staff" (Do not use the link for UW-Seattle Health Sciences / Social Work It pertains only to students on the Seattle campus who are required to pay for any article ordered outside of their library.)
After you have entered the Interlibrary Loan system, first time users will encounter a form that needs to be filled out to open an account. All other users will be taken to the main page. At the main page in the menu bar in the left column, select "Get an Article" to order an article. If you have specified in your account that you prefer receiving electronic copies of articles, your "photocopy" will be posted electronically in your online Interlibrary Loan account.
