  Extensive array of full-text news (newspapers, wire services, transcripts and newsletters) and legal resources including law review, legal journals and case law. Search tip: Under the search box, check the box next to Legal.

• National Academy for State Health Policy
  An independent academy of state health policymakers working together to identify emerging issues, develop policy solutions, and improve state health policy and practice. Click on Publications in the left column to view reports. Some reports include PDF files to download.
• Social Work Policy Resources on Healthlinks
  Includes links to Revised Code of Washington (RCW), Washington Administrative Code, and Census portals.
• Thomas - U.S. Congress on the Internet: Bills, Resolutions
  Search Bill Text and Bill Summaries. The full text of legislation can also be searched across multiple Congresses.
• Washington State Legislature: Bill Information
  Access bills, digests, history, and reports. To view prior years back to 2003, click on the tab that contains the year for the bill. For Historical bill information from 1991 to 2002, click on the link for Detailed Legislative Reports. To browse current bills, click on Bills by Topic to browse. From the Bills by Topic page, click on the circle next to By Subject. Browse the list, click on desired subject and Continue.

Accessing UW restricted resources
To access databases from home, click on the "Off Campus Access" link in the upper right of this page and log in with your NetID BEFORE clicking on the database name.

Some databases include the full text of articles. If not, you can click on the "Check UW Holdings" button next to the article entry. If neither of these options are available, follow the instructions for How to locate the full-text of articles.

Search Strategy

Search strategy will depend on your topic. Multiple search strategies will produce the best results. Some sample searches include:
