Student Journalism Project

In spring 2009, six talented students accepted special assignments to write feature stories for Terrain. Beneath the umbrella theme, “Changing Times on Campus,” the students covered subjects ranging from technology to real life at a growing university.

The students were paid in experience and treated like professional writers, expected to research their subjects, conduct interviews, represent Terrain in a professional manner, subject their stories to vigorous editing and meet all the deadlines.

The result is six terrific stories, each showing UW Tacoma in a light you may not have seen before.

We’re so proud of the job these students have done and hope to make the Student Journalism Project an annual tradition. Please let us know what you think of these students’ work and enjoy.
