Accreditation

As part of the top-ranked University of Washington School of Nursing at the Seattle campus, UW Tacoma shares accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). As such, the UW Tacoma Nursing Program adheres to the published standards of CCNE and the State of Washington as stated in Chapter 246-840 WAC. In the April 2001 accreditation visit, the School of Nursing's programs at Seattle, UW Tacoma and UW Bothell met all four standards and 23 substandards. UW Tacoma, as one of three University of Washington campuses, shares accreditation by the Commission on Colleges and Universities, Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and Universities.
