Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) Test Preparation (10 hours)

Covers all of the material contained in the LSAT. Students learn strategies and techniques related to both specific question types and to overall test management. Suggested homework will be assigned and then reviewed during the next lesson.

Required textbook: Cracking the LSAT 2008, Princeton Review (Cost app. $21.00).

LSAT Practice and Review

Attend two Saturday sessions and take real LSAT practice tests. Each day you will spend 2 hours 20 minutes taking the test followed by a 40 minute detailed review session with the instructor. You will learn how to best respond to actual test questions, what works and doesn't work in taking the LSAT while gaining experience in an actual test-taking environment.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

GREGORY JOHN DURAS, J. D.

Judge Duras earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the Seattle University School of Law in 1982; he has attended the National Judicial College in Nevada, and holds a Bachelor of Science from the United State Naval Academy in Annapolis. He is an Adjunct Law Professor at the Seattle University School of Law, Adjunct Professor and Instructor at the University of Washington Tacoma, and serves as the Academic Advisor to the Pre-Law Society at UW Tacoma. He has taught in the Officer Leadership Course at the US Navy Reserve and at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C.

Judge Duras is an Industrial Appeals Judge for the Board of Industrial Insurance-Appeals, in Tacoma. He has also served as a Claims Consultant Manager for the Department of Labor and Industries and as an Assistant Attorney General for the Office of the Attorney General. He is retired from the United States Navy Reserve, Rank: Captain. Duras is a Member is the Washington State Bar and of the Hawaii State Bar.
