Independent Study options should be used when a student wishes to gain greater depth in a particular topic or explore topics that are not included in the formal social work/welfare curriculum. Please read and follow the Instructions for Approval with careful attention to the stated timeline. Additionally, the Course Summary and Contract Plans are available for download or from the Social Work Program office.
Independent Study
- Readings in Social Work
- are student-originated, individually contracted projects on topics of interest in social work not covered by other Social Work Program offerings.
