Career Counseling

Appointments

Meeting with a Career Counselor is an excellent way to gain clarity and focus regarding your career direction. This service is free for UWT students and costs $40/session (usually an hour) for UWT alumni following the first year after graduation.

You will be able to make an informed career choice through a discussion of your values, interests, and goals. A counselor will also help you develop a search strategy that is most effective for you. Career counseling includes self-assessment suggestions, career resource information, career and internship planning, job and networking strategies, and interviewing skills. Stop by the Career Development Center (MAT 352) to schedule an appointment or call 253.692.4421 or 253.692.4601.

Career Peer Advisers

Career Peer Advisers(CPAs) are undergraduate and graduate UWT students, representing the majority of the Academic Programs available here. CPAs are employed by the Career Development Center to assist current UWT students with certain parts of their career exploration. Students can almost always speak with a CPA when coming into the Career Development Center, but may also schedule short appointments to guarantee availability.
