Intramural Sports
The Intramural Sports program is pleased to announce the following programs for Spring Quarter 2008 which all students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in, free of charge.
SOFTBALL
A faculty/staff vs. student softball game will take place at Stanley Park on Saturday, May 31 from 10am-4pm. Participants are encouraged to sign up ahead of time. Questions? Contact Julie Draper at jadraper@u.washington.edu.
Spring Intramural Sports/Programs:
- Yoga: Wednesdays from 5-6pm, April 23, April 30, May 7, May 14 and May 21 (Longshoremen's Hall)
- Flag Football: Saturdays from 11am-3pm, April 26, May 3, May 10 and May 17 (Stanley Park)
- Basketball Pick-up Games, Tuesdays at 4pm, May 20 and 27 (Longshoremen's Hall)
- Softball: Students vs. Faculty/Staff Tournament, Saturday, May 31 from 10am-4pm (Stanley Park)
Longshoremen's Hall Recreation Center
The Longshoremen's Hall features a spacious and comfortable collaborative learning space, a huge event and recreation area, a gaming center, outdoor recreation courts, and an on-line gaming room. The space is available to students, faculty, and staff at no cost! Please come and enjoy board and video games, ping pong, foosball, basketball, gaming, dodge ball and more! The Longshoremen's Hall is located at: 1710 Market Street (across from Court 17 Apartments)
Spring Quarter Hours of Operation:
- Monday - Thursday: 11:00AM to 7:00 PM
- Friday: 11:00AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday - Sunday: Closed
Campus Fitness Center
The UW Tacoma Campus Fitness Center features state-of-the-art equipment and a fun, friendly and energetic atmosphere for all users! The Campus Fitness Center staff are committed to providing an open, friendly, diverse and ADA accessible environment for people to engage in fitness activities. We will provide a safe, clean and energetic workout environment for all users. The Campus Fitness Center is located at: WCG 012 (You can access the facility by entering on the Pacific Avenue entrance of WCG or by taking the WCG elevator down to the Garage level).

Other Opportunities for Recreation and Involvement
The Mattress Factory is home to the oUWTpost, an area managed by Student Life, and provides a variety of ways to spend your downtime between classes. Come on over and play a game of pool, heat up your lunch, check your email, watch some television, catch one of the many student events, or simply find a relaxing cove to catch up on some much needed study time or a well-deserved nap. Food choices are offered in the this space as well, Coco Bob's is now open which adds to our existing selection of snack machines.
The Office of Student Life, our many Student Organizations and the Student Activities Board have a wide variety of programs and activiies for you to be a part of as well!
