UW Tacoma Services and Activities Fee
The Services and Activities Fee (the "S&A" Fee) is authorized by state statute for the express purpose of funding student activities and programs. The Services and Activities Fee paid by students for the 2015-2016 academic year is $159 per quarter. Part-time students' S&A Fees are pro-rated; Full-time students pay the entire fee. The fee amount for the upcoming year (2016-2017) will be determined by the Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC) during Spring Quarter (2016).
Services and Activities Fee Committee
The Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC) reviews all requests for funding from Services and Activities fees, recommends program priorities and budget levels, and serves in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor. The committee includes five to seven students recommended by the Associated Students of the University of Washington, Tacoma (ASUWT), three non-voting ex officio members and a compliance officer.
