Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC)

What is SAFC?

The Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC) is a University committee comprised of students and advisers that allocate money from Services and Activities Fees. These fees are paid by each enrolled student every quarter and are used to fund student activities and programs of their particular institution. These are programs such as ASUWT student government, Student Activities Board (SAB), student publications (e.g. the Ledger, Tahoma West), the Childcare Assistance Grant Program, intramurals, special speakers/events, and many other student services.

The Services and Activities Fee paid by students for the 2011-2012 academic year was $159 per quarter. Part-time students' SA Fees are prorated; Full-time students pay the entire fee. The fee amount for the upcoming year (2012-2013) is determined during Sping Quarter (2012).
