Student Engagement

Student Engagement empowers students through programs that inspire leadership and responsibility in order to enhance the campus experience.

Where all students contribute to a connected learning community and experience transformational growth.

Get Involved

As a department within the Division of Student & Enrollment Services, our hope is that every UW Tacoma student is given an opportunity to engage with the campus community. No matter who you are or where you come from, we hope that the Department of Student Engagement can be a place where you learn more about yourself and others within the community.

Student Engagement offers a variety of ways to get involved. Currently there are nine functional areas: Associated Students of the University of Washington Tacoma (ASUWT), Clubs and Organizations, Recreation and Fitness, Student Activities Board (SAB), Student Publications, Volunteer Services, Student Housing, Student Conduct, and the Childcare Assistance Program.

Whether you are interested in student government, intramurals and health, event planning and implementation, publishing, giving back to the community and world at large, the possibility to live on-campus, or need financial assistance for childcare, than Student Engagement is the place to be.
