Orientation is designed to be your initial guide to UW Tacoma. We'll introduce you to the campus community and resources, and ensure that you are prepared for your first day of classes.
This program includes meetings and workshops with a variety of University representatives. Student leaders will guide you throughout Orientation.
Winter Quarter 2014
Winter quarter will begin January 6th, 2014. We are excited to help you transition into being a successful Husky! Orientation is required before students can register for courses.
To help you prepare for your orientation and get you ready for the start of Winter Quarter, please review and complete the steps below.
Step 1: Pay Your Enrollment Confirmation Fee

Step 3: Schedule An Appointment with an Academic Advisor
Step 4: Take the Online Student Orientation for Winter Quarter

Winter On Campus Orientation Dates:
Monday, November 25th from 8 am - 12 pm
Tuesday, November 26th from 4 pm - 8 pm
Step 5: Take Your Math Placement Test
Step 6: Register for Winter Quarter Classes
Step 7: Pick Up Your Student ID Card
Step 8: Buy Your Books
International New Student Orientation
All international students (students on an F-1 or J-1 visa) are required to attend a mandatory international new student orientation on January 3, 2013, from 9-4. Details can be found on the International Students Orientation page.
