Autumn Quarter 2013
Welcome to UW Tacoma! We are excited to help you transition into being a successful Husky! If you are a new student admitted for Autumn Quarter 2013, please complete the following steps.
Incoming Freshmen - Autumn Quarter 2013
Step 1: Pay Your Enrollment Confirmation Fee
Step 2: Register for Freshman New Student Orientation
- Registration includes completing the freshman student survey to (1) choose your Core classes, (2) explore electives, and (3) find out if you need to complete a math assessment test.
- You will register to attend New Student Orientation as the final step of completing this form.
Available Orientation dates & times:
- Thursday, May 30th from 8 am-1 pm
- Tuesday, July 9th from 8 am-1 pm
- Tuesday, July 16th from 8 am-1 pm
- Tuesday, July 30th from 8 am-1 pm
Check-in begins at 8:00 am and New Student Orientation will begin at 9:00 am.
If you are unable to attend any of these orientations, please contact Student Transition Programs at 253.692.4421 or uwtnsp@uw.edu.
Step 3: Submit Your Immunization Verification or Waiver
- Before you attend New Student Orientation you must submit your Immunization Verification or Waiver. You will not be able to register for courses until either the verification or the waiver form has been received.
Step 4: Register for Autumn Quarter Classes
- You will be able to register online for courses after you complete steps 1-3 (note online registration opens on June 24th). Information on how to register may be found on the Time Schedule & Registration website.
Step 5: Pick Up Your Student ID Card
- You can pick up your Student ID card in Enrollment Services (MAT 253). Please bring a picture ID. You may do this any time during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm).
Step 6: Buy Your Books
- The University Bookstore is located on the ground floor of the GWP building at 1748 Pacific Avenue. Lists of required textbooks are available on the University Bookstore's website.

- Thursday, June 27th from 8 am-12 pm
- Wednesday, July 10th from 8 am-12 pm
- Thursday, July 18th from 8 am-12 pm
- Thursday, August 1st from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm
- Tuesday, August 6th from 8 am-12 pm
- Thursday, August 8th from 8 am-12 pm

- Visit the Academic Advising Center webpage to schedule an advising appointment. If you require assistance using the online appointment scheduling system, please call 253.692.4857.
