New Student Orientation

Greetings New Students and Welcome to the Husky Family,

We are delighted that you have selected to attend UW Tacoma and we look forward to seeing you at the New Student Orientation (NSO).

New Student Orientation at UW Tacoma is a necessary program tailored specifically for newly admitted freshmen, transfer and graduate students. NSO occurs in the summer, autumn, winter and spring quarters (Please see specific Orientation dates below).

New Student Orientation's objective is to assist you with making successful academic, intellectual and social transitions into the UW Tacoma community. This is an opportunity for you to meet peers in your academic program, learn the secrets of student success, and begin to develop a sense of pride in being a UW Husky. You will also have the opportunity to take care of important tasks such as getting your student ID, participating in a campus tour, visit the Financial Aid Office and the Campus Bookstore.

If you need any additional information, or have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Warm Regards,

Michael Johnson

Coordinator of New Student Programs
