About Funding Resources
UW Tacoma faculty, staff and students are able to request funding from a variety of sources connected to Student Affairs. Below, you will find links to these funding sources and short descriptions. Click on the name of the funding source for more information.
Funding Committees
The funding sources below hold annual processes to fund on-going programs and services. The contingency processes (aka special allocation) typically fund one-time and/or unforeseen expenses. For more information on these processes, see the individual committee pages.
- Enrollment Confirmation Fee: Enrollment Confirmation Fee is a one-time fee collected by students intending to attend UW Tacoma. The Enrollment Confirmation Fee Committee is a Chancellor-appointed committee.
- Services and Activities Fee: Services and Activities Fees are collected quarterly. The Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC) is a Chancellor-appointed committee.
- Student Technology Fee: The Student Technology Fee is collected quarterly. The Student Technology Fee Committee is an official committee overseen by the Associate Students of UW Tacoma (ASUWT).
Funding/Mini-Grants
The funding sources below provide ad-hoc access to funds/mini-grants for events. The funds have been allocated through the Services and Activities Fee Committee (SAFC) and the Enrollment Confirmation Fee Committee (ECFC) and are open to UW Tacoma students, faculty and staff.
- Campus Event Fund: The Campus Event Fund is overseen by Student Involvement.
- New Student Event Fund: The New Student Event Fund is overseen by Student Services.
- Training and Conference Fund: The Training and Conference Fund is overseen by Student Involvement.
