  • Institute Scholarships are available for propsective undergraduate students!

    Prospective students sho have applied to either the CSS or CES programs, should apply for the Insitute of Technology scholarships. The deadline to apply is June 1. Details are here.

  • Institute Co-sponsors The Northwest Security Symposium, May 7th & 8th

    The Grey Hat Group, a student organization focused on studying computer security issues and spreading the word about them, has organized the second annual Northwest Security Symposium, May 7th & 8th, in Carwein Auditorium.

    Speakers and topics include NSA's Richard George on "Espionage"; computer security author and lecturer Amelia Philips on "Data Forensics"; PNNL cyber security manager Troy Thompson on "Defending the DOE Against Hacking" (tentative); Creative Logic's CTO Michael Simon on "The FBI's Bio Database"; UW CISO Kirk Bailey; and the Institute's systems administrator Stephen Rondeau on "Malware in the Home".

  • Institute of Technology Students Compete at PRCCDC

    A team of seven students interested in computer and network security competed April 25-26, 2008 at the first Pacific Rim Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. Read more about it...

  • MSL: Math, Science, and Leadership

    The Math Science Leadership (MSL) Program is a six-year program that begins with a four-week summer session, for marginalized students who will be entering the 7th through 12th grades in the 2008-09 academic year. This year's summer session runs from July 21 - August 15, 2008.

    The MSL Program is looking for instructors.

    Discover how UW Tacoma's Computer Engineering & Systems and Computing & Software Systems programs at the Institute of Technology can give you tools to create your own solutions.

  • The MS CSS application is now ONLINE!

    Graduate applicants may submit all of their documentation (minus transcripts) online through the Graduate School Application system. The MS CSS program is the first graduate program at UW Tacoma to take advantage of this opportunity and hopes to make it an easier process for applicants.
