  • Institute Co-sponsors The Northwest Security Symposium, May 7-8, 2008

    The Grey Hat Group, a student organization focused on studying computer security issues and spreading the word about them, has organized the second annual Northwest Security Symposium, May 7th & 8th, in Carwein Auditorium.

    Speakers and topics include NSA's Richard George on "Espionage"; computer security author and lecturer Amelia Philips on "Data Forensics"; PNNL cyber security manager Troy Thompson on "Defending the DOE Against Hacking" (tentative); Creative Logic's CTO Michael Simon on "The FBI's Bio Database"; UW CISO Kirk Bailey; and the Institute's systems administrator Stephen Rondeau on "Malware in the Home".
