Admission Requirements
Applicants must provide evidence of the successful completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with at least a 3.0 GPA. For those who have a bachelor's degree in a computing-related discipline, there are no further prerequisites.
Those with a bachelor's degree in another field must demonstrate successful completion of preparatory coursework prior to their formal application to the MS program.
Program Prerequisites
All students admitted to the Master's program are expected to have competency in the following areas:
- Object-oriented programming ( equivalent to TCSS 305)
- Data structures ( equivalent to TCSS 342)
- Algorithms ( equivalent to TCSS 343)
- Discrete mathematics I ( equivalent to TCSS 321)
- Discrete mathematics II ( equivalent to TCSS 322)
- Calculus
- Science (Physics preferred)
Students deficient in one or more of these areas may be required, as a condition of admission, to take undergraduate courses to remedy the deficiency.
