William W. Philip Endowed Scholarship

The William W. Philip Endowed Scholarship is to provide assistance to graduate students in Business Administration or Computing and Software Systems at the University of Washington, Tacoma. Student selection will be based on academic merit. The duration of the scholarship will be one academic year. In order to express to Mr. Philip the gratitude of the community for his excellent work on behalf of the University of Washington, Tacoma, a few of his close associated who have raised funds necessary to establish the William W. Philip Scholarship Endowment. Mr.Philip has been a long-time University of Washington, Tacoma (UWT)Advisory Board member and volunteer. Mr. Philip has admirably served UWT as an influential friend and instrumental leader for more than a decade and has recently stepped down from the chairmanship of its Advisory Board.He has worked diligently to link UWT with the region it serves, blending community issues and concerns with institutional strengths and potentials.Mr. Philip has been a strong advocate of UWT since its inception and continues to be one of its firmest supporters.
