Groningen: Exchange Program Overview

Established in 1614, it is one of the oldest universities in the Netherlands, boasting more than 100,000 graduates since its inception. As the university's students and staff come from the Netherlands and from at least 90 other countries, the University of Groningen is truly international.

Introduction

The University of Washington, Tacoma offers an exchange program with the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Every Autumn and Winter quarter, UW students have the opportunity to spend one term studying in Groningen, earning 10 to 15 UW credits. In exchange, UWT hosts students from the University of Groningen for one to three quarters. UWT offers a variety of courses in Urban Studies, Business Administration, and Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences to compliment the Groningen student's degree.
