End-of-Year Awards Ceremony
Urban Studies students are invited to this annual event in which we recognize some of our outstanding graduating seniors, and celebrate the end of another academic year! Join us in the Tacoma Room (GWP 320) on Thursday, June 12, 5-7 pm.

The Government Leadership Institute (GLI) seeks to educate and inform citizens and students on the basics of City of Tacoma government operations and services, exchange ideas and suggestions on improving the quality of life in Tacoma, and opportunities for public involvement. Colloquium: Pete Guest, professor emeritus, UW Sociology
On Wednesday, January 23, Dr. Guest will present a paper co-authored with Anthony Falit-Baiamonte. This paper investigates the degree to which high status workers (defined by occupation and educational attainment) live in suburban rings as opposed to the central core city in approximately 250 metropolitan areas.
