Bachelor of Arts: How to Apply

Priority Application Dates

Autumn QuarterMay 1
Winter QuarterNovember 15
Spring QuarterFebruary 15

Applying for admission to the Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies program is a two-part process requiring application to the University and submission of required supplemental materials.

Plan Ahead

The Urban Studies program admits majors for every quarter except Summer. Please note the priority application dates at right. Complete applications received by the priority application date will be assured of a review; complete applications received after the priority application date will be reviewed on a space-available basis.

Get a Copy of the Application Kit

Print out a copy of the Urban Studies Application KitAdobe PDF file. It has everything you need including:

  • Instructions
  • Admission Requirements
  • Application for Transfer Admission form
  • Request for Transcripts form

Apply to the University of Washington, Tacoma

Depending on your student status, the application form and process may vary:

New UWT Students
New students must complete an Application for Undergraduate Admission. Get the form using one of these methods:
Returning UWT Students
If you were previously enrolled at UWT, submit a Returning Student Application in lieu of the Application for Undergraduate Admission. Get the form using one of these methods:
International Students
Use the Application for Transfer Admission form included in the Urban Studies Application KitAdobe PDF file. You must also comply with the International Student Undergraduate Admissions Information.

Mail Your UWT Application Packet

Your completed application packet will contain:

  1. Printout of online application or a signed, completed copy of the printed application with the $50 application fee
  2. Personal statement
  3. Two official transcripts from every college you have attended
  4. High school transcript (only if you studied a foreign language or intermediate algebra in high school)
