B.A. Advising: Applying for Graduation

Graduation is not automatic. In order to officially graduate and receive your diploma you must submit a graduation application. Graduation applications are completed in an appointment with the Urban Studies adviser, and are due by the second Friday of the quarter in which you wish to graduate. If you are pursuing a double major or double degree, you will need to make an appointment with the second degree granting department as well.

Graduating Senior Priority

Students can apply to graduate when they are within 45 credits of graduation. Once the graduation application is on file, students receive Graduating Senior Priority (GSP) for registration. Students have a maximum of two quarters of GSP. If, after two quarters, a student does not graduate and continues to take classes, he/she is eligible for regular senior registration according to the schedule outlined in the Time Schedule.
