Building a Strong 4-Year UWT Campus

Colleagues-

With great anticipation of the arrival of our first-year students I encourage you to reserve as much as you can of time on March 30 and 31 to join with all UWT staff and faculty in the presentations and events shown on the attached program. These two days will sharpen our planning for this group of much younger students and provide guidance on how best to engage them in the classroom and across campus. Special highlights will be diversity presentations from UW Seattle campus leaders, Rusty Barcelo and Betty Schmitz, and several presentations and conversations with Jean Henscheid, a nationally recognized expert on classroom and campus development of first-year student programs. On the first day, our own faculty and staff will lead discussions on important aspects of the transition to a four-year campus. We ask you to register for these discussion sessions in advance. Please also see attached registration form.
