The University of Washington Tacoma Staff Association (UWTSA) seeks to unify staff at UW Tacoma to enhance the working experiences and ability of staff to contribute to the larger campus community.

• Second Annual Classified Staff Retreat: Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Tacoma Club. Look for invitations in your mailbox soon!
• Game Day: The Professional Development Taskforce will schedule our annual Staff Game Day this summer
• Staff Box Talk: Staff Art Exhibit: Got some hidden (or not so hidden) artistic talents? Show off at our second annual art exhibit!
• Staff Association General Meeting: Thursday July 17, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Tacoma Room.

Unsung Hero Award

Appreciate a staff member who makes a significant contribution to the campus but hasn’t been publicly acknowledged. Recipients are selected quarterly presented with a certificate of appreciation and a gift card. The recipient's supervisor is also informed. Nominate an unsung hero today!  

 

Spring Quarter 2008: Dana Clark, Media Services
Dana (pictured third from right with UWTSA board) is the cheerleader you want on your side. She is supportive of her staff, stands up for what she believes is right, and is open to listening to all sides. Dana fosters a collaborative environment and is involved across campus. Her positive demeanor and gentle openness sets a wonderful example for supervisors and employees alike. She is deserving of recognition for her efforts. Congratulations, Dana!
