Minutes from the June 17, 2004 General Meeting

The UWT Staff Association’s Annual Barbecue and Fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, July 21, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, in the Gillenwater Plaza.  The cost for faculty, staff, and students is $5, which includes burger or hot dog, salad, beverage, and a bag of chips.

Julie Buffington, chair of the Professional Development Task Force, provided information regarding the goals of the task force as follows:

• Publicize professional development opportunities

• Create a staff culture that embraces professional development:
• Special events
• Lunch get-togethers – Lunch Box Talks for UWT staff to share information on what they learned through professional development and training.
• Develop a scholarship fund that will allow staff to participate in professional development opportunities
